Looking for a new home!

After the Announcement the our home at Freedom Leisure Coleford is to close in late October we our on the quest to find a new permanent home for the winter months.

The future of the Five Acres Leisure Centre has been up in the air for months after Gloucestershire College unveiled plans to relocate to a new site in Cinderford.

It was thought the facilities had won a stay of execution earlier this year when Forest of Dean District Council members said they had postponed making a decision in light of a report into the impact any closure would have on the local community.

Unfortunately the ax has now fallen and the Centre and pool will close late October.

Before then we will have a final Tournament booked for the 7th of October, more on that coming soon. From time published the play fields of Five Acres are set to stay, so Summer training can remain on Tuesday evenings 7:00pm till 9:00pm

Meanwhile we have been tirelessly looking for alternative facilities for training in the winter

Our options going forward so far are as follows:

Freedom Leisure Cinderford - Fridays 7:15pm - 8:45pm

Freedom Leisure Lydney - Thursday 7:30pm - 8:30pm

Freedom Leisure Lydney - Monday 7:30pm - 8:30pm

Freedom Leisure Lydney - Sunday 9:00am - 10:am

Freedom Leisure Lydney - Sunday 12:00noon - 1:00pm

Monmouth has a new sports complex opening in August but am guessing that will be to far for most people to travel?

These options may just be for the short term until the new Forest sports facility either in Coleford or Cinderford is build.

We are open for suggestions, and please leave your feedback on our Facebook group page, as we obviously want everyone to be able to continue being part of the Dean Ultimate Family.
